M&E Managing Associate
Personal motto: Positivity is key
Joe joined Rubix M&E in August 2018 and now works in the Building Services sector. Prior to joining Rubix M&E, Joe had worked in London as a Sales Negotiator for an estate agency and, more recently, as a Digital Recruitment Consultant. Joe had always planned to work in London, but chose to return to Ipswich to be nearer his family and his beloved Ipswich Town. Joe’s time in London means that he is able to bring negotiation, sales and leadership skills to the Building Services sector at Rubix M&E, as well as his natural energy and confidence.
Five minutes with Joe Cullum.
What are you passionate about both professionally and personally?
I’m passionate about being the best I can be and being a success. I’m also passionate about my family and Ipswich Town Football Club.
Name someone you admire, and why?
Barcelona and Argentina footballer, Lionel Messi. Messi didn’t have an easy start to life with very little money in his family. He also had to have an operation to make himself taller. I admire his determination and work ethic to have been able to get to where he is today.
Name three of your pet peeves.
Long fingernails; people who insist on saying “like” in a sentence; and whenever Ipswich Town lose (a fairly common occurrence at the time of writing!)
What is your guilty pleasure?
Designer clothing and Disaronno Amaretto.
You’re having a dinner party and can invite three guests. Who would they be and why?
Pablo Escobar (to listen to his story about life); Marcus Stewart (Ipswich Town Legend); and Lionel Messi (greatest player to play football).
It’s happy hour – what would you order?
Sex on the Beach.
On my days off, you can find me…??
Listening to music, shopping and spending time with my girlfriend.
Which three words best describe you?
Energetic, loud and a bit of a joker.
What is your favourite book (or magazine); favourite TV show; favourite film; and favourite singer or band?
Of Mice and Men, Jack Whitehall with His Dad, Shawshank Redemption and Joseph Capriati.
And finally, if you were an animal, which animal would you be and why?
I would be a lion, because they are loud and confident.
